well unlike hamsters guinea pigs back bone isnt curved or flexible so they arent able to run in a ball because ir would be uncomfortable for them and it could seriously injure them
It's terrible for their backs. The way their spines are shaped isn't meant to curve in that way. Putting them in balls does the same thing. It can seriously hurt the guinea pig, even just being in it for a few minutes.
Unlike a hampster ferret or mice, guinea pigs backs arnt ment to bend and curve that far back. There spines arnt as bendable. When they run on the wheel it is a high chance that they can break there backs. Same with a ball. When placed inside its like an inclossed wheel. So there is a risk of there back breaking and suffecating. So i advise you to not get a wheel or a ball for your pig
