Question:

why did the fire alarms go off when i turned the heat on?

i turned my heater on today and it was set on 73 and it ran for about 10 min, and the next thing you know the smoke alarm starts going off. So i turned it off. Should i turn it back on or leave it off.

Answer:

Well, if its a question of cost.. Steel would be prohibitive for the average man, as would be aluminum too. Resin is the cheapesst way to go, and with a liner, can last a very long time. (I havent heard of pools being made out of steel or aluminum, but, there are always a first time for everything I guess). Pools are usually made of concrete, concrete blocks, cinder blocks - (all are painted with a water proof paint because all will soak up water, and leach it out). Resin, or fiberglass is the next thing, that the pool builders use and is relatively inexpensive. (its the installation cost that gets the price astronomical as you have to escavate the dirt). Then, there are the pool liners that sit in a frame and are stretched, so that they will hold water They have to be replaced, about every ten years or so Ok, 'nuff from me today.. I wish you well.. Just like flag poles, make sure the top has a round ball attached to keep electrical charge from building up. Also you can ground it just like it was a lightning rod, but I am not sure that 9 foot is tall enough to be a target. I don't think I would be concerned about it.
