Why do Cons claim we went to war in Iraq over chemical weapons instead of nuclear weapons?
I'm not sure why, but maybe because they conveniently forget the truth, like Colin Powell's testimony at the UN about aluminum tubes, which he said were used as centrifuges for enriching uraniumThen there is the whole Valerie Plame/Joseph Wilson scandal about Wilson's trip to Niger to investigate Iraq's supposed purchase of yellow cake uraniumOf course the claims that Iraq had chemical weapons still were made at the same time, but to deny claims by team Bush that Iraq was engaged in nuclear weapons development is just BSChemical weapons are nasty, but nuclear weapons inspire much greater fear.
