Answer:

Sorry, where are these marble tiles? She didn't use them for a counter top did she? Everybody is using Granite which you couldn't harm with a blowtorch or even muriatic acid - There are products that you can use to clean and protect marble - find them at the HOME DEPOT or LOWES or OSH! Costs about $5.00 but they are just a cream! Like putting wax on a car - will not stop paint breakdown from acid!
If it is a polished stone, the acid in the lime juice etched the finish and the stone. You may need to contact a marble restoration company to polish it for you. There are products available that may do the job without having to call a professional and they are available at home improvement stores or specialty tile stores. Polished marble can easily etch with anything acidic. I have even seen water rings resulting from dishwashing detergent residue sweating off a glass. If there was also staining, there are poultices you can use to draw out the stain, but you will need to polish and reseal after. Granites are very dense, and hard to damage, but I have seen instances where water was left sitting on a granite, and it eventually absorbed. If that is the case, you will need to seal your granite. Also, sealing does not prevent staining, but if you use an impregnating sealer, it will buy you time to get something cleaned. If you leave any substance sitting on a natural stone for any extended period of time, it can stain.
