Question:

Why do we make our beds?

Why do we make our beds when we're just gonna mess it up again? Making beds is kinda pointless for me because it's not like anyone else is gonna go in that room and sleep on my bed or something. I really wanna knoww~

Answer:

Bedding needs daily maintenance or else the sheets start to shift so badly your feet won't even be covered. Besides, there is a small amount of dust that settles during the daytime that is kept out of the bed if it's made and covered with a spread. Personally I like the idea of opening the covers so the moisture can evaporate making the bed less hospitable for dust mites...
I agree. It is done because it is done. Mindless like ants. I have never made my bed for the last 30 years. Wash your bedding and it won't be dirty. I can't think of anything more senseless.
After a long day at work Its nice to get into a freshly made bed No creases on the bottom sheet pillows nicely fluffed up Its heaven for me and I sleep better
I don'tmake a bed until later in the day once the sweat and condensation from the night before has had a chance to dry out and air out, Ilike the windows open too, clean out the whole room, then make the bed, it looks nice and it's nicer to get into when you go to bed.
I like when my bed is made and my pillows are covered. I spend a lot of time in my room so my bed often gets used for other things then sleeping. If its made, when stuff is put on it, then nothing gets lost in the blankets, and i know that the sheets and pillows underneath will be kept clean and dust free if the dog jumps up on it or something. plus, isn't it nice to climb in a made bed? with all the blankets straight and stuff? I used to to feel the way you do, but now i like my bed made, it doesn't have to be perfect, but its nice when its made. do you make your bed now? if not try it for a few days. wash your blankets once in awhile too.
