Question:

Why does my car alarm keep going off.?

I have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata. I just replaced the battery yesterday. The old one was shot and died instantly after turning the car off. 5 minutes after getting to work my alarm is screaming. I turned it off and 2 minutes later it‘s going off. It did this probably 5 more times. I got the owners manual and completely reset the system. This time it lasted about 5 hours. It‘s kind of funny, last night when I put the new battery in and locked the car for the night it was peaceful.

Answer:

You have to go to the EXACT place where you got the car and let them fiz. After you fix it, it will be good as new.
The simple answer to your question Its made in China .Get another one
newer alarm systems are voltage sensitive ,so the newer battery may be putting out more power or less, either one will set the alarm off on the newer ones, try disconnecting the battery cable and leave it off for a few minutes then hook it back up,and activate the alarm system, wait a few minutes and open a door and let it program its self for the new battery ,it should sense the voltage and stop doing that ,if not a dealer may have to reset it,but that should work, you need to set in the vehicle and set the alarm, then try tripping it by either mashing on the brake pedal or turning an interior light on,either one should set it for the voltage it now has,i had to do this on a Toyota a while back,it finally accepted the new battery and stopped going off all the time, since you have the manual on setting this you may have to set it more than once for it to finally accept the new battery, good luck with it.
