Hi pattycake007, It sounds like you might be mixing component and composite connections. Make sure a Red/White/Yellow connection isn't going to a Red/Green/Blue or vice versa. Norm
What do you mean the volume does not work? Did you connect BOTH video and audio cables from the DVD player to the TV? If you use HDMI, did you set your DVD player audio output to PCM (and NOT Dolby Digital)? Do you get sound, but you can't control it up/down or no sound at all?
Do you have the TV DVD connected together with component cables, a cable with three connectors on each end( red, blue green) The red blue carry the 'Audio , right/Left the green one carries the video. Also, you might need an audio cable( Red white) from audio-out on DVD to audio -in on TV. I think the component cable thing will likely fix it.
tv-tech man is almost right. u can use the cable remote for the tv volume. if u hit the vol now the cable light will light. u have to press the tv button. after u press tv then when u hit a channel u will see the cable light light when u hit vol the tv light will light indicating it is sending the signal to it. u only need to do this once unless u change something like press DVD to turn on the DVD, then u need to go back and press tv again.
Well, the Cable boxes have their OWN volume control and I suspect your adjusting the CABLE's Volume control, instead of the TV's Volume control. You're using the Cable remote control. Get your TV remote out and adjust the TV's volume control.
