Question:

Why does my neighbors car alarm constantly go off by itself?

Almost everyday I hear my neighbor‘s car alarm go off. He works nights, so he is asleep during the day, so I know that he is not doing it. We live in a little circle of duplexes and nobody is ever around our cars. What is making it go off by itself?

Answer:

Maybe the alarm is sensitive. I remember that a vans alarm would go off everytime a large truck went by. It is probably because of a vibration. Or, maybe there is a short circuit.
thats a pretty sensative alarm my neighbor has a saburban and his alarm chirps every 10minutes i mean its the loudest chirp you can hear sounds like a loud cricket. even if it in the garage. its a pretty obvious statement that he wants to let everyone on the block to know he has an alarm on his vehicle. its normal to the point of it functioning coreectly but at a price of the people in the block to get a head ach from
Some alarms can be set to very sensitive,so sensitive that a cat or the wind can set them off.Ask your neighbor to adjust his alarm.Should only go off if someone pulls the door handle or tries to jimmy the doors.
