Question:

Why does my Smoke Detector chirp?

My smoke detector keeps chirping so I changed the batteries but it is still chirping. I don't want to disconnect them but it is getting really annoying. Why are they chirping with new batteries?

Answer:

It's probably being blocked because you're not supposed to be on it from whereeveryou are connecting to the net. In the event that you really need to connect to it, you might try seaching for an anonymous surf gateway or online proxy service to browse through. If they're not smart, and only blocking by DNS name instead of IP - you can probably get in by 209.85.141.94 - but that doesn't mean you'll easily be able to navigate with DNS blocking turned on. Best of luck.
Yes, you certainly could react to it much more than someone else - he should be doing it with lots of ventilation just on general principles.
