I have a ford focus 2000 se with automatic trans., zetec 16V engine. Since two weeks the check engine light comes on and the car stalls This has happened when i‘m departing from a stop signal or a parking lot It starts back thoughSometimes even the automatic transaxle/cooling system light comes on along with it. The latest is the automatic transaxle/cooling system light comes on with a brief loss of power and brief acceleration after it goes. what could possibly be wrong I‘ve had the OBD II read at autozone but nothing showed up what are the possibilities any cheap solution will be highly appreciated i have to fix this before ozzfest

Any time the examine engine gentle comes, that's going to flow away a code regardless of whether it remains on or not. let me say this once again. autozone is only able to read obdII codes, not dealer specific codes. the comp. has 2 sides to it obdII and dealer specific. your codes are most likely on the dealer specific side. You need a qualified tech to diagnose the prob, on this one. if Autozone employees really new what they were doing they would be making real money as a technician. gl to yaand bang your head for me when u get to ozfest. actually it can be read with real scanners like the modis(snap-on), determinator (matco).etc. these scanner run about 4,000 to 7,000 with accessories. Any good auto shop will have one of these and be able to read any codes/ history codes, freeze frame data, etc that is in your computer. it will cost you one hour labor to have this done. by the way, autozones code reader runs about 40 dollarslol.
