Why don't new houses in Florida have lightning rods?

Answer:

It depends on how high the fire truck pump operator sets the pressure. It would be a minimum of 80 psi and can go a LOT higher depending on the lift needed and size of hose. Water is usually pumped from the hydrant through a pump in the truck.
put it in the freezer. sounds weird yes but apparently works
Buy dryer sheets (like Bounce) and put them in the dryer with your clothes after you wash them. Thats what they're made for. If you need to de-static cling something right now, get a sheet and rub the clothing item with it.
