I try to use my windshield wipers and all I hear is the motor! Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you in advance for your time
Could be deep inside the dash, but if you are lucky the shaft that the wiper pivots on still turns when then wiper motor is running. Turn the wipers on and look close (while parked). If this is so then you must lift the wiper arm cover off and tighten the nut hidden below. Hope this makes sence. It would be much easier if I could point it out to you
It sounds like the linkage has come loose or fallen off. Try moving the wiper blades, if they move back and forth, you have a linkage problem.
The motor has a set of gears and rods attached to the wiper arms and one of those components has failed or come loose.
