Question:

Why is the airbag light on in my 07 ford explorer?

this evening I let me battery die, by accident of course and got someone to jump the car, the car came on fine and I started driving and I noticed my airbag light was on, on the dashboard it didnt come on until after the battery died and got restartedcould anyone tell me why that light is on?or will it go off next time I start the car?i‘m scared, driving with an airbag light on cannot be good.

Answer:

Ford Explorer Airbag Light
find leak with soapy water and sprayer should hear hissing
Check the fuse. Also, check the codes(from the computer using jumper wire in the buss line connection in the ignition wiring harness) from the repair manual(if even possible on your car). Or of course take it to a shop, let them figure it out.but you should be fine to simply drive it. Just no air bags for now. Don't hit or get hit. :)
