Why should be used hoist lower level limit switch and over travel limit switch in the crane?

Answer:

Hoist: Hoist limit switch cuts off the power when the hook is too much up, ie, it prevets breaking of components if by mistake the operator keeps the up button pressed even after the hook is ready to hit something and break. Lower: Lower limit switch kicks off and cuts the power of the crane, to prevent the last end of the wire to run out of the drum, in case the operator by mistake keeps the lower button pressed even after the hook has come down too much. Over travel: By simple logic, this limit s/w will cuts off the power and preven the crane to go overboard due to an operator's mistake.
Limit switches provide accident prtection and prevent overstressing of componenets as well as not allowing the load to tip the crane over.
