Why traffic signs glow when illuminated by headlights?
Mercury cannot have a moon due to the Sun's gravity being strong enough to drag away anything even near the Roche limit (this was first noted by Isaac Asimov 30 years ago). Venus probably has too small a region between the Roche limit and where the Sun can pull away a moon.
