I have the same hair type as you (maybe worse because I'm half African-American) and the HerStyler is the only thing that works for meAnd it stops it from frizzing in humidityI would die without itI had a CHI, but after a while my hair started getting damaged and dryThe Amika or HerStyler are really expensive online (up to $250), but you can get them cheaper at one of those annoying mall kiosksBut I saw the HerStyler at the jewelry store Amuse for only $50I hope this helped(:
