Why would my AC Blower Motor Capacitor keep going bad? What amperage draw should the motor have?

I replaced a capactor on my blower motor with the same value as recommended on the nameplate. 5uF, 370VAC. It opened up after about a day, then I replaced it with another one and it did the same thing. I checked the value of the cap before installing and it was correct. The motor is rated at 9A, and I am getting a current draw of less than that.

It sounds like a problem with the load on the motor to me. The Cap is only for starting,you could have a start winding going bad or something is holding the motor back at startup, or centirfigal switch that cuts out Cap is defective.
the control panel which sends power to the motor can short out and double send power take plat off of the control panel there is like 10 wires all wire nutted together in a small area and some times come loose or the control panel its self could be bad
Replace the blower fan motor. The windings are shorting. Check the motor case using a voltage meter--could be live.
Sounds like a short to me. Check your wiring to see if there is a nick anywhere in the insulation. Also your windings in the motor itself could be shorting. That is usually caused by the breakdown of insulation on the windings. How old id the Blower motor? Hope this helps :)
extra likely you're discussing the starting up capacitor.
