Question:

Why would my brand new gas dryer start smoking when I turned it on?

I bought a brand new gas dryer and connected it. When I turned it on I heard it ignite and it got hot. When I turned it off I noticed smoke coming out of it. I opened the door and saw some smoke and it smelled like it was burning. This was the first time I turned it on. Some people are telling me that it is normal and others say no. Can anyone help?

Okay, at 11 your son should already know about erections and when it is appropriate to touch oneself (ie, in private) and when one should be clothed. If you have never explained these things to him, now is the time.
Takes a long time to get used to this. I'm from southern Illinois, and know the problems with winter weather. So pack supplies in your car, not the trunk, for safety. Such as an empty gas can, ice scrapers for the car window, a small broom to remove snow with, cat liter to put under your slipping tire, an extra blanket, an aired up spare tire. Probably some other things, but this will get you started. You want to wear a muffler around your face to warm the air as you breathe in. A hat of any kind will help a lot. If you have to, you wear jeans or slacks under your dress/skirt, then take them off when you get to work,
