Question:

why wouldnt my car speakers be working?? i have a wiring harness for aftermarket radio, but still no sound?

i am positive there is nothing wrong with my headunit, but i am getting no sound out of my speakers. I have a wiring harness plugged into it. the radio power is good

Answer:

If you had sound before you replaced the head unit, then my next question would be what kind of vehicle do you have? If it has an internal amp, then you have to make sure you have that wire hooked up or the stock amp won't work.
well first question is did u have sound before the aftermarket radio played remember that ur aftermarket radio puts out twice the power also i had a radio that was junk so before u start pouring money into this bad system try taking it back and try another first if that dont work try takin a spare speaker and check all ur wires if u have sound either ur speaker are old and worn out or u might have breaks in ur wires under ur dash. if u decide to up grade with an amp later take the time and run new wire not only will everything be brand new but ur system will definetly sound better because everything is new good luck to u
The wiring harness its the in good shape for ur motor vehicle so u do not could substitute it. If u recommend the harness that is going into the truly radio then while u purchase the recent radio it is going to comprise the wires that plug into it. you merely could run them into the harness u already have that runs into ur production facility harness. You dont could substitute the aftermarket to production facility harness everytime u purchase a radio. it's going to be the comparable.
