It rusted out, did all the rust drop out, or did some of it get back in the converter? Yes some back pressure is needed for performance, but maybe the system that is intact also has a blockage due to rust chunks trying to go threw the muffler and or cat.
Fab, Holey Mufflers gave you some very good information. Take it. And just to add, here are the suggested tire sizes, on a 16 inch rim, for your Camry: 185/55-16 195/55-16 205/50-16 So a tire that has a width of 225 is really overly wide. Could cause you all kinds for handling and safety issues.
