Question:

Will a light brown sofa set look good with the same light brown wall color?

We are moving into a new empty house. The walls were painted light brown and there's this good condition display-set full-leather sofa on sale, which is really cheap and is light brown in color as well.. almost identical to the wall. we haven't really bought any other furniture. The floor is a much lighter brown than the wall. Is it OK to get the sofa set? Or do i need to find something that contrast to the wall?

Answer:

Yes but instead of exactly the same color, it would be nice a shade darker or lighter. You can get a perfect match by going to a paint store and picking a few color chips in your color range, there will be lighter and darker versions on each color card. This will give a little more movement and interest, then since tan is neutral, you can pick almost any color as your accent color....good luck!
It is honestly not something I would suggest, especially since the floor is also a light color. I am thinking that there is a good possibility that it will leave the room looking washed out. What I do suggest though is that if the couch is really a good deal, just repaint that one wall. Leave the rest the light brown and paint that wall behind the couch a darker or bolder color. It will add depth to the room and a bit of drama.
that may not look good. that's going to completely look boring. assessment is extra useful. the two you get the sofa and repaint your partitions or come across a sofa which will assessment on your gentle brown partitions(once you're feeling somewhat lazy and you have the extra money)
I would get it. You can put a big artwork above it to take away from the wall color, plus you can always paint.
