Question:

Will the orthodontist have to use a retractor to re-glue my brackets?

I have moved and have a new orthodontist and they want to take off a few brackets and put some new ones on. Will they have to use a mouth retractor?(I hate the mouth retractor!)hahaThank you!

Answer:

my ortho doesnt
Most likely, no. I've knocked off quite a few brackets in my two years of braces (try about 10!) and they never had to use the retractor (I hate it too). Sometimes they'll use a roll of cotton to dry up the area. However, if you need a lot of brackets replaced, you may need it. It's just temporary, don't stress it :) Good luck!
