Question:

Windshield Wiper Fuse keeps blowing?

I have a 95 Toyota Celica and the windshield wiper fuse keeps blowing. As soon as I put in the fuse there is a spark and it no longer works. How do I go about finding out the problem. I‘m assuming it‘s an overloaded wire. What steps should I take to correct this wire/fuse problem. Would putting a larger fuse in work?

Answer:

a larger fuse may take longer to blow and burn the wires on the car. you have a short circuit. Sine most wiper switches are now on the steering column with a multi switch you need a mechanic to take things apart .
What model? I always used Bridgestone BT's on my CB 400.
I don't know but I don't have any pants on just so the world knows :)
do not use a larger fuse! disconnect the wiper motor and try the fuse again, if it does not blow then you need a new motor. if it does blow , then you need to trace the wiper motor wiring for a exposed wire that is shorted to the ground side of the electrical.
