Question:

Windshield Wiper stop return to vertical position instead of horizontal?

I have a 1985 S-10 Blazer, I bought a windshield wiper motor to replace the old bad one. This one, everything works fine except when switched off, the wiper return to vertical instead of horizontal. Since there are only 4 wires into the unit, is there a way to correct this problem by just cut and rewire the external wires?

Answer:

you will desire to under no circumstances attempt to function the windshield wipers without first clearing the snow off the window and making particular the wiper blade isn't caught to the window from the ice. constantly pop them removed from the windo first. you have gotten stripped the kit circulation, and would would desire to interchange the motor. you will desire to be waiting to locate one at a junk backyard extraordinarily low priced.
you may be able to reposition wipers on the nut be sure not to bind up the motor though
Oops sounds like the wiper are has slipped on it's drive shaft. Take a spanner and remove the window wiper, reposition it in the parked position and tighten the nut again
