Question:

Windshield Wipers Wont Turn Off!!?

I have a ‘96 Toyota Camry.this morning it was raining lightly and I flipped the wipers on once to clean the windshield and then turned them back off.or so I thought. Anyone know what I can do?

Answer:

Hmm. i for my section doubt that the swap itself is the situation because of fact the different 'gentleman' has reported. possibilities of that being a situation are slender. The wiper motor and the palms that are linked to it are timed. The motor drives a series of palms, that stress the wiper palms that stick out of the canopy of your automobile. in the event that they are designed simillar to GM wiper assemblies, those can many times circulate out of time, and smash internally to create the situation as you're describing. you will desire to word your swap, yet i do no longer think of you will locate the situation there to be honest. There are switches geared up into the internals of the wiper assembly, they have a reset and/or quit swap which tells it to alter off while its made its finished revolution. of direction this swap is skipped over once you turn your wipers to the 'speedy' or consumer-friendly 'on' place, as they shop goign then. yet on intermittant speeds, it makes use of those switches to time the wiper operation. this is somewhat paintings.
pull the fuse for the wipers then put it back inthis will reset the wiper motor control board
just leave them running,
