Question:

Would I be having too much iron?

I rarely eat meat, but on my latest blood test my doctor said my iron levels are almost out the normal range of being high. I want to start taking a mulitivitamin, would it be ok to have one with iron in it, or should I avoid taking more iron?

Answer:

Iron builds up in your blood and stays there for along time so I'd avoid any vitamin containing iron for a couple months.
You should ask the doctor about that. Iron doesn't just come from meat, there is iron in tomatoes and other vegetables, as well.
