as far as the fire alarm goes, it probably is not ruined. the only reason it went off is because the water completed a normally open circuit for a few seconds when the water touched some things inside. However, it would be best to pat off any visible water on the fire system or at least dry it with a hair dryer some so that the components inside will not rust or corrode from the moisture. as far as where to take a shower, as long as the floor upstairs is not falling in from the water, its probably ok.
You are NOT going to get any diseases from this birdgive me a break!! If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly.
