Are yellow fog lights brighter than all of the other fog light colors?
no/but they work the best in fog
FOG LIGHTS are amber in color only. Amber is the best color for fog because it illuminates the ground thru the fog better. The white lights you see mounted under the headlights are called driving lights and are intended to light the road better on the other types of night driving including in rain.
normally a fog light is yellow as it penetrates through the fog better. no idea about the legalities of it because i am in Australia, where yellow fog lights are legal. how ever if you drive with them on and there isn't fog it is illegal.
they are brighter, and they are easier for other motorist to see you
