Put them near exits. One in the kitchen by the door. One inside the house near the door to the garage. One near your main entry/exit door whichever that one is. You don't want to be trapped trying to access an extinguisher that is deep inside the middle of your house. Get every one out first, then if you must, re-enter with extinguisher to quench the fire. Life before stuff!
