Just bought a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 and can't get it inspected because the tail lights are blacked out. So I bought a set of tail lights. The blacked out led tail lights had 3 plugs to connect the tail light. The new one has only 1 plug for all three sets of lights. I have tried searching for an adapter that can replace the 3 to make one to adapt to the new tail lights but all I come up with is wiring harnesses for trailers.How can I find this part???
you just bought the wrong year tail lights for it,take those back and get the right ones to go back in it,what ever you do don't cut on any of the wires if you can keep from it,good luck.
U must of not gotten incorrect tail lights as they should just plug in.Dodge is different from other trucks as they split the brake lights and turn signal light into 2 lights not 1.So U will have to have it wired correctly.
It sure sounds like you've the wrong set of tail lights.
