i purchased one grass cutting electric blade trimmer (sun-jeo) from USA .4.5amp motor -120volt-60hz. how much its watts and it can be use in 240volt-50hz in india?how much of rpm the motor will produced while operating?
that depends on the motor the gearing and everything is different in every motor you must check the specifications of the motor you choose ... the power of the motor will be approx 120 volts * 4.5 approx = 490 watts a fairly low power motor.. and no unless you can divide your 240 in half with a center tapped transformer isolating one maybe then you would be able to use it but would require a special device to down the voltage to 120 you cannot run it at 240 wihout completely destroying it..
Agreed. Get a 240->120 converter that can handle that current unless you like blue flashes and lots of smoke :)
Dear, Thank you, am also fine like you then dear please for your remind the winding will get burn only when exceeding prescribed current so you can get double the rpm when you use in 240 instead of specified 120 only when current limited drive for this application.
