i purchased 5 pounds of aluminum powder. i want to know how much aluminum that is, by volume, assuming it was solid, in some unit i can work with( cm3, in3, LxWxH)
Solid (block) Aluminum has a density of about 2.70 grams per cubic centimeter, flake or dust contains captured are and usually has a density of about 2.50 to 2.40 grams per cubic centimeter at room temperature. 5 pounds is about 2267 grams. 2267 grams / 2.50 grams per cc = 906.8 cc 2267 grams / 2.40 grams per cc = 944.6 cc In either case less than a liter.
At room temp, it's density is 2.70 g/cm? That's about 51 in?
