7-Series Sports Package Option - Worth it???

I just finish signing all the paperwork to lease a BMW 750iBecause the 2008 models are about to start production, I was limited in what I could pick from if I wanted the car asapThey only had one 750i in the picky color combo I wantedThe only thing is that the car didnt have the Sports Package which I didnt want originally but now am having second thoughts.My Boss has the sports package and the car drives a little to stiff for meDid I make a mistake?

If it's the typical campsite bathroom, they will have running water and nothing elseYou will need soap, toilet paper, a hand towel, and all of your shower stuff if you want to take a showerYou probably need quarters for the showerYou can probably get by for 3 days without a shower - it's up to youYou will need coals for the grill, a reliable source of fire, and firestarter or kindlingYou should also bring wood for the campfireSome campsites sell wood but it is relatively expensive and may run outOf course you need food, utensils and something to cook it inYou can cook a lot of foods in the fire wrapped in foilIf you want to make eggs or pancakes for breakfast (you will want a hot breakfast!) you can buy a cheap pan at the grocery storeIf you'd rather not bring any extra stuff for cooking, hot dogs and sausages are real easy to cook on a stick over the campfireAt this time of year you will need sleeping bagsYou should have something between your bag and the ground for insulationWhen my sister and I were kids we had cheap rolls of foam for this purposeYou can lose a lot of your body heat to the ground and some insulation (cheap foam, really) will keep you warm and comfortableI know you want to rough it but it is tough to sleep at all if you are cold and miserableBeyond that, you should bring something fun like playing cardsDon't bring anything that you don't want to get dirtyEverything is going to get muddy and/or smell like smoke, so old t-shirts, old jeans, old shoes, old towels are the way to goI don't know where you live, but your park may not allow collecting wood for your fireCheck with the park to make sureOne person suggested that you collect your firewoodMany parks do not allow this, because if everyone gathered wood then there would be nothing left on the ground for the ecosystemPart of camping is respecting nature and leaving it the same as when you arrivedI have seen national forests that allow collection of wood, with a permit.

All your bathroom accessories, sandals to take into the showers since they're public and you could get a foot fungus if you don't, flashlights with new batteries, compass, jackets, sleeping bag, plastic bags to put food in, knives for emergencies, plenty of blankets (check what the weather will be like in the area you'll be camping at to know just how cold it will get and this will tell you what clothes and shoes you need to bring too), matches, plenty of water, rope, first aid kit fully supplied, cell phone (don't forget to have someway to charge it! No good to you if it's dead!), radio, camera and extra batteries! And on a personal note, don't forget medications like Motrin or Benadryl and others to help you guys out in case you get sick or get allergies! And when I use to go camping, I was smart and took not only extra blankets, but also took a mat that would make my sleeping bag more comfortable because waking up off of the cold earth can be a little aching sometimes!

Well it looks like everyone here has it coveredAll, I will say is when I was in the Army, we took basically just water, food, extra clothes, flashlights, sleeping bags, and tentsA great thing for us was baby wipes, we used to clean ourselves withtake a lighter (cigs if you smoke) Something you really should consider is some charcoal for the grillAnd some glasses to drink from(don't forget something with cooking utensils for flipping a burger, or a fork for turning the hotdogsSince your going for 2 or 3 days there is no sense in breaking the bank, and definatly a towel! No sense in rinsing off when you can't get dry in this weatherThere is no sense in buying firewood if you and your buds can collect it from the wildKeep your coals hot and you can make your fire a lot easier in the next day or two(something I prefer to take is but not really needed is an old perculator for my coffee) I can just put that thing on the coals in the morning and the coffee is ready pretty quickAlways nice to start the day off right! The original Sport Package offered on the 7-series was the 1999 740i SportIt came with several interior and exterior styling changes and most importantly, contoured front seats, 18 staggered light aluminum rims, firmer suspension, higher-stall torque converter, and high final-drive ratio However, starting with the 2002 7 series, BMW dropped most of the performance increasing upgrades from before and kept the styling cues intactThe current 7 Series Sport still includes many of the interior and exterior upgrades from before, including a firmer suspension, staggered sport wheels, 3 spoke steering wheel and contoured sport seats The ride from a sport package is noticeably firmer and road imperfections are more pronouncedBecause of the larger sport wheels, you must purchase a separate set of winter rims and tires if you are even toying with the idea of driving your car in the snowAlso, the sport tires on the 7 will wear out much more quickly than the standard 18 optionThey are also considerably more expensive to replaceHowever, if you enjoy a more spirited driving experience, I would highly recommend getting itKeep in mind that getting the Sport package can sometimes limit you on some options from the factoryThe Sport package includes contoured seats which cannot have the cooling or massaging functions (a nice treat in the summer or on long trips) Also, active body roll stabilization is not available on the sport as wellMy best advice to you would be to drive the car for at least a couple hours and see if you enjoy the way it drives and ridesYou will know your answer when you are done.
