Question:

Adding a house magnetic sensor to viper car alarm?

I have a magnetic sensor from my house that i want to put in my truck. I have a ford ranger and there is a sliding back window. There are 2 wires that come out of the sensor i was wonder how or if i can connect it to my alarm. And if i can which wires to connect to each other

Answer:

You will probably need to resurface the rear brake drums and sand the shoes down, total cost at a shop around 100.00
If the alarm has a hood switch, and if both are normally closed switches, you could tie into that. If you have no idea what I am talking about, you have no business screwing around with it. There may be more available contact inputs on your alarm, look at it, read the instruction manual.
