Question:

Alternative wrapper for junk foods?

Most junk foods are wrapped in plastic or aluminum foils or whatever you call them, so is there any alternative, more eco friendly wrapper we can use so we don't have to use plasticsOr is there a specific company that sells food that have already done this kind of thing, if so please tell me what company or what food are they selling.

Answer:

Tandoori chicken Sweet corn soup Lasagne
The only candy I can think of would be those sold in little cardboard boxes e.gsmarties, glosettes, raisinsMost junk foods are sold in plastic/composite wrappers which are almost never recyclableYou could replace these by buying the candy in bulk PET plastic containers, which would consume less packaging material relative to the same amount in smaller portioned packagesThese containers can be recycled in many (but not all) municipalities (check online or call your municipal/regional waste management division to ask)If not recycled, they can be reused for storage of food or other small itemsSun Chips are another example of better packaging if you have access to composting resourcesIf not then they will still end up in landfill and are not much better than other chip bags because compostable bags still use petroleum to manufacture.
