Question:

Alternatives to parchment paper in spell casting?

Since it can be expensive, does anyone have suggestions for any alternatives that could be used or a site that sells cheap animal parchment?

Answer:

To charge your A/C you put a can of freon on the low pressure pipe ( Usually by the evaporator ), haven't heard of bypassing any switch to do it.
get the chiltons manual.it may have some more info.also try reading some other sections in your haynes manual.they seem to jump around about some things
I am a super cheapskateGo to the isle with plastic wrap and aluminum foilYou can find parchment paper for lining cookie sheetsBest part is, you can cut off just what you need.
First the reason your Haynes manual does not say much as far as automotive a/c is concerned is because you are working with pressures that can cause injuriesSecond, if you by pass the low pressure switch and you have no refrigerant in the system you can burn up the compressorThird, if you have no refrigerant in the system (which holds 46.8 oz) you have a major leak in which needs to repaired firstMy suggestion is take it to a professional and have it properly diagnosed you will save yourself time, money and aggravationgood luck
You do not have to disconnect any pressure switches to top up your acI take it that you are going to use a 1 pound top-up can of freonThe safest way is to connect the line to the low pressure service valve and hold the can upside down so that liquid freon enters the systemDO THIS WITH THE ENGINE OFF! After two or three minutes, shut off the fill valve on the can and let the system sit for five minutesThis will ensure that there is no chance of the liquid entering the compressorShake the can to check if it is still partly fullIf it is, start the engine with the ac on maxThe compressor clutch should now engageOpen the fill valve on the can, holding it upright so that only vapor comes outThe system will suck in the freon as neededClose and disconnect the line when the compressor cycles ( turns on then off) On for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes then off for 30 seconds approximatelyIf the can is empty after the initial liquid fill, or the cycle rate is too fast after the can is empty, you will need a second can.
