Question:

aluminum arrows question?

is there a size/weight needed for aluminum arrows? if so the how do i figure it out and if not then does it mean any aluminum arrow work? im shooting a reflex extreme hts compound bow with 29 inch draw and 60 pound draw weight but i see myself shooting 65 soon and maybe the maximum of 70 pounds plus what if the arrow is too long how do i cut aluminum arrows? please don't recommend me to a pro staff to cut them. this all also applies to carbon arrows also. please answer as best as you can BA 10 points thank you very much for your time.

Answer:

Just type in easton archery chart for shaft selection- that will tell you which aluminum arrow to use with your particular draw length and draw weight for your bow. Cutting an aluminum arrow is extremely easy- measure the arrow and mark the length you need with a marker. Then all you need is an inexpensive tubing cutter available at any hardware store such as Lowes or Ace Hardware. But the carbon arrows require a high speed cutter. You can make a cutter using a dremel moto tool and make a jig to hold your arrows and cutting tool. But if you do not already own the dremel tool, a pro shop is needed to cut the carbon arrows.Good luck!
Based on what you have stated you will need a 30 inch arrow. I would go with the Easton XX78. beyond that , the link below should help out.
