Question:

Antique AC electric motor?

I have a working antique electric motor and I'm trying to figure out how old it actually is? It was made by Westinghouse with a serial #1178651B1/3 HP115 V1725 RPMContinuous dutySingle PhaseIt came off an antique apple peeling machine. The housing is cast iron and it's heavy as all get out for how small it is.. probably about 10quot; long + shaft and pulley, and about 6 to 8quot; diameter. Anyone know of a website or something where I could search for this or decode the serial number? My guess is it's from the early 1900's.Thanks if anyone can help
