Here is a short poem i wrote last year, i have been around alot of literary genious in my life, and know that this is not my greatest, i would like to know if there is any interest in my work, outside of this small suburb?7-27-07Dreams of the SeaMan out past the pescariaWith sandy hair and steady poisePicks out among the ocean wildA wave of perfect choiceAnd casting hard into the gale Oars rest then sails hoistOut to where the mighty failAnd the fearless have a voice He follows on With ashen eyesA trace of light and thunder Under one in seven splendid skiesHis world of fear and wonder

I'm an author. Does that count? Pescaria, picks, perfect...hoist, voice...thunder, wonder... Very nice! Out to where the mighty fail/and the fearless have a voice -- powerful! Do the seven splendid skies refer to the seven oceans of myth that surround the world? Excellent! Reminds me of both the movie Castaway (one of my favorites...) and The Whale Rider. This is a good poem -- you do have talent, write on!
