I've just spread granulated lime on my yard. When can I seed my yard? How long do I wait? Please advise and thank you.
Lime (lime is simply ground limestone) is used to alkalinize or sweeten the soil. If your native soil has a high pH, you should not add lime.
LYME is a soil conditioner, not a fertilizer, often used to speed up the composting process. My mother used it when she roto-tilled her garden to help break up hard soil.
Do not use lime until you learn about it. It is mostly used for lawns and not all soils need it. Go here for full information: ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/4000/40...
I may be a fool for taking this seriously, but no, limes are not what is meant here. Domomitic lime is often applied out of a 25 to 50 pound sack, and has the appearnace of powdered sugar. Save your fruit for limeaid!
