Just looking for a ballpark figure here. Its a Code Alarm, in a 95 chevy suburban, believe it came with the car from the dealer.
A car stereo shop can remove it for you for nothing if they want to earn your business in the future.how hard can it be to find the power to the box and cut it?
I have used Restore on my 91 Toyota Tecel and noticed a difference. One of my pistons was leaking oil onto to the spark plug causing a misfire. I used Restore by STP and checked the spark again and noticed a very small amount of oil compaired to how it was before. I have not had a problem since the treatement about 4 months and about 200 miles per week of driving. by the way my car has 280k miles and runs great.
CD-2 Oil Detergent. $2.99 a container, you cannot buy a better product for what is likely dirty oil rings on your pistons and not actually worn rings.Backed-up by an oil change with 1 Qt. substituted for 'Marvel Mystery Oil'. Good luck.(The Caddyman)
does it smoke all the time or just when you start it? it could be valve seals instead of rings. when you leave a car sit like overnight then oil can run down on the valves if the seals are bad and then smoke at first start up. if the rings are worn then all you can do is replace them. just like if the valve seals are bad you have to replace them too.
