Are copper bars worth buying for the future?
No. Unless you have some use for them, this is an extremely bad idea. And right now copper is higher than high in price. Wait a while and the price will dive 75%. Copper is one of those amazing metals - like silver - which you would imagine would be terribly valuable. But I guess with electronics, we use less and less of this stuff. Gold seems to keep its value pretty well - and it seems like the price isn't TOO bad right now.
I've looked into this. Everyone charges $16 a pound when copper is worth less than $3 an ounce. Horrible investment.
only if you can buy by the metric ton. In my view, copper is not a precious metal, it's a commodity
