i heard there good but other people told me there bad.:Sso i wanna know are they good for any car or which car and if there good which brand should i buy??
Stay away from oil additives. Use a high quality synthetic oil (Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum, etc.) in the grade recommended by your manufacturer. The only vehicle sold here that synthetic is NOT recommended for is a Mazda rotary engine. Use a high quality oil filter (KN, Bosch, AC Delco, Motorcraft, etc.) and change your oil as recommended by the manufacturer. Just by using synthetic oil and a quality filter you will see long engine life slightly improved gas mileage without the gimmicks.
They're really only good when used as preservatives. For instance, if you had a car that was just sitting around or in storage, or if you had a seasonal machine (snowmobile, jet ski, whatever) put some oil and gas stabilizers in so it will start when you want it to. Oil shouldn't be that much of a problem in that case anyway, it's usually just the gas that degrades. For your everyday car, though, oil additives (I assume you're talking about performance additives) will not make any noticeable difference to its operation. Just get the oil that's recommended in the car's owner's manual and change it often and your engine will run exactly as it was designed. If you've added aftermarket parts like a turbo or supercharger or changed anything with the engine components like increased displacement or a performance cam shaft or crankshaft it might be a good idea to use a performance-designed oil. Supposedly Ferrari recommends Shell Helix motor oil for their V12 engines but you (more likely than not) don't drive something with a V12. Hope I helped!
Slick50 has worked well for me for years. It has increased the efficiency of my motor, less maintenance work needed, and improved gas mileage. I've had some friends use other brands but this one has worked well for me. I get the mechanic to put it in for me when I take my car in for an oil change, only when I purchase a new car. So.I only buy it once and it's usually good to go. Good luck!
