Question:

Are the AMD bulldozer chips going to be better than sandy bridge?

Are there any benchmarks out yet? Aren't they supposed to be out in a week or 2. Also are the quad core or six core clock speeds out? And lastly, do you think sandy bridge will drop their prices on the 2500k and 2600k for the competition? Sorry for all of the questions, I was doing research on this a while ago and figured I'd find stuff on it by now...but maybe I don't know where to look.

Answer:

Highly doubtful Even if the 8 core version does edge out the i7 2600K, it will still be behind in core-to-core performance which is the most important thing because the vast majority of applications do not use more than 1-4 cores
bulldozer has been delayed till august or september due to an issue. You wont find any benchmarks because it hasnt been released. Any info out at the moment is merely speculative so isnt worth much. Your just going to have to wait till its officially released
