I've just purchased a vacuum sealer, as I am going on a hike and need to keep all my dehydrated food dry before I need it on the walk, but because all my food is dehydrated (egmince beef, fruit, veggies) it is quite sharp and poking holes through my vacuum bags? Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on where I can get stronger bags that are not too bulky? (Using boxes is not an option as it will be too hard to carry with me while hiking)Note: I have tried putting paper towel, baking paper and also aluminum foil inside the bags before sealing and still holes form from the pressure of sucking the air out.
pretty handy in case you have diarrhea .

Is it possible the machine is sucking too hard? I have used a vac sealer for years and never once had that happen even with sharp poky foodsMaybe buy the name brand rolls of bags for it.
