one report we had here was that of about 100 protestors actually arrested over two or three days, all but two were NOT from the area. I think they should have been released on bail set at $10 for every mile to their home town. And then if they get re-arrested, bail is ten times higher the next time. eventually, these foreigners would either stop rioting or land in jail awaiting trial.
I saw a film in which a team of researchers attempted to recreate a ball lightning event. The event took place in an airliner that had been struck by lightning while in flight. A number of passengers reported seeing a luminescent ball floating slowly down the center aisle of the aircraft. The experiment involved overloading a transformer and filming the mayhem. In the film was a racquetball sized object which flew out of the explosion, bounced across the floor, and proceed to exit the camera's view. The experiment was done in the basement of an empty factory, and the object failed to turn up in a careful search of the area. It was very interesting. My own personal belief is that ball lightning is an extremely hot piece of aerogel. It seems to me to be a likely set of conditions for the formation of a piece of natural aerogel. Add a sufficient amount of heat and bingo, ball lightning.
the best answer i can give for this is to use a liquid latex, it can be tinted any color and will act like rubber. this can be gotten at your local home store, or possibly hobby store.
