Whats your favourite Siege weapon around 1066 -1500?
in terms of breaking into a castle the best siege engine was the trebuchet in terms of actually getting the garrison to surrender the catapult because you could throw diseased animals and bodies over and theyd more than likley die of disease. however in my opinion the best method of siege warfare was to get your force besieging the enemy so quickly that they didnt know that you were in the area and so that the garrison dosent have time to gather supplies
