I've heard before to use light grain bullets, and/or +p shells until the gun is broken in (stops jamming).Does anyone have any other tips? In 9mm x19 the standard cartridge is loaded with 115 grain bulletsThe bullet (projectile) weighs 115 grainsMost FMJ ammo sold in the US and Europe has a propellant charge (gun powder) that's stout enough to push that projectile at a standard velocity and produce a standard chamber pressureTherefore, unless the factory quotes a NON standard load for it's pistol (like a Kimber Solo that prefers 127 grain high pressure loads for correct function) any 9MM pistol should work just great on what we can find at WalmartSwab the barrel feild strip, lubricate lightly and shoot the pistolThat's break inExpect 200 to 500 rounds of use to hone the mating surfaces and feed ramp before you get 100% reliability in feed and ejectionand I generally have found that every factory new pistol I've encountered runs well enough after the first 50 rounds to trust (except tight commercial 1911 pistols- just the nature of the beast)If you care to try a +P or other variation of ammo for defensive carry purposessome bullet profiles dont get along with the feed ramps or magazine lips on every individual pistol out theremake sure what your using actually functions in YOUR pistol before you commit to using it as daily carry ammo.
