Question:

boilers coil leaking?

i had my boilers coil clean two days ago, and the guy who did it said that the coil had a crack. Now my boiler is releasing hot water in all my floor. Is it possible that he cracked the coil, because it did not release water before the coil got clean. he said that the coil cracked because the every time the coil get clean it moves back and forth, is the true was the his fault.he works in a company and has an office in town.

Answer:

It's not very likely that he cracked it, but it is possible. Just by cleaning it won't cause a crack. Now, if he drained out the water and left the gas on getting it hot, then returned the relatively cool water to the how boiler parts, then yes, it can make a crack. Those coils are generally cast iron, and VERY heavy. They don't move much if any at all. It depends on the boiler system you have. If you have the instantaneous type, I still can't see how he could have made a leak, unless he beat it with a hammer.
