It is a quarter ton hoist and i'm assuming it needs 3 phase power judging by the 4 prong twist lock plug, i live in the country and can not get 3 phase service. Is there any way to safely operate this on single phase, thanks
You cannot operate a 3 phase motor with a single phase supply.
NO ! YOU NEVER RUN A 3 PHASE HOIST WITH SINGLE PHASE POWER DIRECTLY,UNLESS YOU BUY A 3 PHASE GENERATOR TO POWER IT.
